Welcome to Merci Dessert Cafe, a charming retreat nestled on the ground floor of Streetscape Mall in Cebu City, Philippines. Here, the sweet aroma of freshly baked pastries fills the air, luring both locals and visitors into its cozy embrace. This cafe is much more than just a place to grab a coffee; it's a love letter to dessert lovers and pastry enthusiasts alike.

As you step inside Merci Dessert Cafe, you're instantly welcomed by its minimalist white-themed design, which exudes elegance and sophistication. The decor invites you to relax and unwind, making it an ideal spot for a leisurely coffee break or a catch-up with friends. Customers rave about the comfortable seating and the chill ambiance, with one guest, Stephany Fernandez, praising it as “one of my favorite cafes in Cebu” for its cozy interior and top-notch pastries.

The menu here features a delightful range of offerings that promise to tantalize your taste buds. Indulge in their scrumptious croissants, particularly the generously filled chocolate variety, which has been a favorite among visitors like Zil Sangcap. With each light, flaky bite, you will experience the perfect balance of sweetness. For cake lovers, their naked strawberry shortcake is a must-try, as noted by Jes Llego, promising a light and fluffy texture that melts in your mouth.

But it’s not just about the pastries at Merci. Coffee lovers will be delighted with the expertly brewed drinks, which pair beautifully with the sweet treats on offer. Guests like Kathleen Ubanan have enjoyed their coffee alongside refreshing iced hibiscus tea, complementing the wide range of cakes and tarts perfectly. The standout among these is undoubtedly the pistachio mini cake, which has left many patrons enchanted.

One of the unique features of Merci Dessert Cafe is its rooftop area, allowing you to enjoy your treats while basking in the pleasant Cebu weather. It’s not just a cafe; it’s an experience to be shared with friends or captured in beautiful photos at their adorable photobooth. Customers appreciate the attentive and friendly staff who go above and beyond to assist you in choosing from their extensive selection of pastries, as highlighted by Chloe Cañete.

Yes, some may find the prices on the higher side, as mentioned by E R; however, the quality and artistry of the pastries make every peso worthwhile. After trying their muscat croissant—topped with fresh muscat and delectable, light cream—many leave with a desire to return, agreeing that the flavors and presentation justify the indulgence.

One of my favorite cafes in Cebu- cozy interior, aircon is cold, chair is comfy, staffs are friendly and the irresistible aroma of freshly baked goods. Plus, the coffee and pastries are the best absolutely top-notch. 10/10!!!

We stopped by Merci Café for a quick dessert and it was such a delight! We tried their mini cakes (especially the pistachio) along with some tarts—everything was delicious. My partner had a coffee while I enjoyed an iced hibiscus tea, and both paired perfectly with the pastries. Super love their treats, definitely worth coming back for!

I recently visited this charming cafe and was thoroughly impressed by its aesthetic appeal. The decor is absolutely delightful, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere that's perfect for a relaxing coffee break or catching up with friends. The pastries here are a real highlight – fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. Each bite was a treat, and I highly recommend trying their croissants 9/10 still flaky upon eating and cakes . I tried the pomegranate iced tea 8/10 and it was refreshing. Java Chip Frappe 6/10 was too sweet for me if i compare it to Starbucks’. Carbonara was delicious! 9/10 However, I did notice that the comfort room could use some attention. It was a bit dirty and unfortunately lacked tissue, which was a bit inconvenient. One customer had to wait in line for long only to find out there was no tissue so she had to go back to the store and ask for it. Then she lined up again. This is truly disappointing. Overall, despite the minor issue with the comfort room, I had a wonderful experience and will definitely be returning for those amazing pastries!

The croissants here are so good. Generously filled, especially the chocolate one, which I loved! It wasn’t too sweet, just perfectly balanced. They also have a rooftop area, which adds to the vibe, and even a photobooth for some extra fun.

???????? Merci Dessert Café It’s a café with 4.5 stars located in Cebu, Philippines. Featuring a minimalist white-themed design, exuding an air of elegance and sophistication. It offers a variety of croissants, and I tried the following two options: Muscat Croissant P$260 NT$145 4.8/5. It’s topping with 6 muscats and a generous layer of cream. Unlike regular cream, the cream here is light and refined. Croissant itself is freshly baked, with perfectly crisp and flaky texture. Cheese Sausage Croissant P$280 NT$156 5/5 I preferred savory flavors, the combination of cheese and sausage creates a rich, salty taste with a hint of smokiness. That made an unforgettable dish. If u ever visit the Philippines , this is definitely a must-try spot! By the way, the owner seems to be Korean, and she is super cool! I really like her style as well. Ig: foodie_liliwte

Loved the pastries, light and fluffy! Ordered a whole naked strawberry shortcake with macaronson top.

I would've wanted to try more of their pastries, but most of the items were quite on the pricey side. The muscat was good, it was my first time trying the fruit and it does remind me of green grapes. The cream was cold and had just the right sweetness. Their table was quite wobbly, so it was hard to cut through the croissant without the table shaking/glasses moving. I think the pricing is geared towards the normal pricing of pastries in Korea. But it was nice to see there being a Korean café in Cebu with pastry options not found in most bakeries.

this might be my new favorite tambayan! i love their pastries, which was kinda on the expensive side but are well worthy of your money cs they're delicious, and unique! their staff are all accommodating and patient since you would surely be indecisive about what to choose -- they have a wide selection of croissants. the only thing is... since they have two branches in the area, one sa kaning sa gmaps and the other one sa tapad sa giuseppe. my friend nga niapas went to the other branch and we all got confused and soon found out nga duha diay ang ilang branch u should def try it here! there are a lot of tables, from the ground floor, sa rooftop, which i tried, and naa pa guro sila sa second floor.
